An Exciting time ahead!! We’re about to release our EP - Our first EP!!
During the pandemic, we hunkered down to write! And between three nationalities, two countries, and of course, Zoom; we shared stories, emotions, spirituality, ideas, lyrics, music and sonic escapades - We were ready for the journey! The first time we met we wrote Voices in the Water, and ever since then, it’s all been virtual. Joey, English; Libby, American; and Bryce, Australian.
We’ve found an audience; we found you guys, all thanks to Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger on ABC. Since then, we’ve witnessed the track that has meant so much to us, Voices in the Water, mean something incredibly special to the many who have written to share their own experiences. everything from simply loving the track, to a couple of instances where someone has said that losing themselves in the song has literally kept them from losing their life! There’s no greater honor as a musician, as an artist… and especially as a human being when you hear something like that. a piece of music that has held such gravitas to find refuge and meaning in. enough to hold someone’s head up maybe just a little higher. Maybe enough to see the special things in their life that they may have looked past, or even forgotten. but also to definitely know that they have meant so much to us too in reaching out! they in turn hold our heads up!!
With our new EP, we’ve shared many stories, emotions and philosophies that have found their home in the songs. With the backdrop of COVID, racial injustice and overall prejudice, our music endeavors to be all inclusive by not separating us all out, but bring us all together in the heart of what we all experience as people moving through these lives together.
Stepping off from Voices in the Water, our EP cascades onto the warmth of the reflective Slow Down (Wings), then to Into the Winter, a song that says it’s alright to feel the way you do at rock bottom. Then to Open Water; swimming into the unknown, welcoming the trepidation alongside the desire to discover what’s out there for us all. Then to Canopy, a song of goodbye and the complexity of the emotions entwined in all versions of our experiences. Finally, Eyes Shut. Do we want to embrace the safety of ignorance in a desperate attempt to hold onto innocence? Or do we have the strength and stamina to trust the truth of our heart, to desire an alternitive narrative that helps us face a reality that will ultimately come to be inevitable… and maybe to, find ourselves in a bettter place.
So please join us on the journey, listening to the music, making it your own and meeting us where we land!
